KUMASI / AFLAO / LOME

After breakfast, we will travel in the countryside via Aflao,
the frontier between Ghana and Togo. Then we will continue
along the coast until Lome where we will arrive around 6 p.m

| Day 7 : |
LOME
The day will be dedicated to the visit of Lome, capital
of TOGO.
In the morning we will visit the harbour, the
market of fetishes, the handcraft village, Independence
place and the national museum. We will walk in the art streets.
Lunch at the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will travel in the
surburbs
of Lome for visiting the animist monastery where a ceremony
will be organized : welcome ceremony and libation ceremony
done by the vaudou priest, danse and vaudou demonstration.
Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight. |

LOME / KARA 450 km
After breakfast, we will go by bus to Kara via Tsevie where
we will visit the funeral monuments. We will continue via Notse,
city of ewe descent and pineapple cultural centre.
Lunch at Roc hotel of Atakpane.
After lunch we will continue
our way with some stops to visit the sugar cane plantation
of Anie, a Kototkoli village, a cooperative at Bogilo.
We will be at Kara around 6 pm fo dinner and night |

We will spend the day discovering the Kabje and Losso countryside
: sukala houses; Tamberma valley and its traditional castles

KARA / LOME 550 km
After breakfast, we will come back to Lome via Aledjo where
we will cross by foot the Aledjo fault, we will visit the market
and the village.

| Day 11 : |
LOME / GRAND POPO 70 km
Early in the morning, we will leave Lome for the BENIN frontier.
We will drive along the coast, the coconut forest. We will
arrive at Grand Popo, first catholic mission of Benin and the
most beautiful beach of Africa. This village is well situated
between the sands of the Golf of Guinea and the lagoons of
the delta. In pirogue we will sail into the canals to attend
some Vaudou
ceremonies.

GRAND POPO / OUIDAH / COTONOU 70 km
We will continue our tour to be in Cotonou at the end of
the day via Ouidah that we will visit. Cotonou is now a big
modern and very noisy city with large avenues. The central
market is like a town ( one of the biggest markets in Africa)
and you can find there everything you want.

COTONOU / ABOMEY 180 km
A boat will wait for us to visit Ganvie,
one of the most impressive places of West Africa. Its name
means 'freedom of
water". It was built to protect the ADJA ethny against
the FONS who wanted to sell them as slaves. Ganvie with 30
000 residents is one of the most important lacustrian cities
of Africa. We will continue to Abomey. We will visit the market,
the handcraft center and we will have a walk in the largest
avenues of the city.

The Dahomey Trail – ( Zewa's Temple, Agonglo's Palace, Semassu's Temple,

arrive at the end of the day.
